As we worked through the hiring process, it became clear what DEV needs most right now: someone who lives on DEV every day and takes care of the community from the inside. So we've reshaped the role into a full-time Community Manager.

What changed?
The short version: less program management, more community stewardship. You'll be the day-to-day steward of DEV: on the platform, publishing articles, getting to know our most engaged members, keeping things welcoming and high quality, and making sure folks get fast, thoughtful help.
Important Skills
You are someone who...
- Is an active, established DEV member (a DEV profile with real history is a huge plus!)
- Has run Discord communities, not just hung out in them: moderating, setting up bots, building automations
- Writes and edits well, with strong instincts for curating content
- Makes level-headed calls in gray areas
- Uses AI as a starting point, then brings your own taste and judgment
