AI Engineer New York is here! This conference built for Wall Street. Banking, hedge funds, fintech, insurance, asset management are top of mind, and we expect more than 1,000 engineers and technical leaders plus more than 100 speakers. You'll hear from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google DeepMind, and from Two Sigma, Bridgewater, Citadel Securities, JPMorganChase, Vanguard, Ramp, and Coinbase.

Three Tips

  • RSVP early.
  • Front-load the Expo.
  • Budget time for Midtown.

The Week Started Sunday

AI Engineer and Major League Hacking kicked things off with the AI Engineer New York Hackathon yesterday. A free day of building, with mentors, demos, and prizes. AI Engineer Kids Day ran the same afternoon for builders ages 9 to 15.

Today, Monday: Workshop Day

Today is for building. Workshops are 9:00 to 12:00 and 1:15 to 4:30 covering managed agents, eval basics, and how to cut the AI bill. Pick one or two and stay put. Room-hopping a workshop gets nobody anywhere. The Expo opens at 4:00, and the welcome reception is from 5:00 to 7:00.

The Main Event: Keynotes and Breakouts

Tuesday and Wednesday our keynotes start at 9:00, then breakouts through late morning and afternoon. Each room has a track. Engineering in Shannon. Leadership in Sutton. Evals in Turing, and McCarthy is curated. Sponsor Expo sessions join after lunch, and the Expo floor is open 10:30 to 4:30.

Five rooms at once can mean missing things. Don't worry. AI Engineer streams and posts talks to its YouTube channel.

What Everyone Is Talking About

Trust, mostly. Evals, verification loops, deployment gates, and AI code review take up more space than anything else, They all try to answer the question of whether an agent's decision holds up in front of a regulator. Agent identity and auth is a close second. Agents with their own accounts and payment rails are the new arrival.

The open question is still about people. If AI writes the code, someone still has to know if it's good. That judgment comes from building real things, which is why started with a hackathon.

Who Will You See?

CTOs, CEOs, and founders make up nearly half of attendees, and about a third work at companies with more than 10,000 people. Another third work on teams of fewer than ten. Bank architects and three-person startups, all in the same lunch line.
